Bola Rotibi has 18 years of industry experience spanning engineering, software development and IT analysis. She is a high-profile and highly experienced analyst focused on software development technologies, processes and market trends. In 2008 and 2009 Bola Rotibi was voted one of the top three analysts covering the software development and delivery market and industry by the influential IIAR (Institute of Industry Analyst Relations) group.

Prior to setting up Creative Intellect Consulting, Bola worked at MWD Advisors and analyst firm Ovum. She is a Chartered Engineer and has industry experience spanning the full software development lifecycle across a variety of industry sectors, encompassing network computing and application development. She has worked as a senior software developer for Reuters and a chemical and process control engineer for Air Products.

Over the years as an analyst, Bola has built an extensive portfolio of authored, in-depth product review/evaluations, technology reviews, strategy reports and competitive analysis reports. Bola’s technology expertise include, Software development (technologies, product and processes), in particular, Application lifecycle management strategies for a variety of platforms (Mobile, Server, Desktop, Web etc.); software modelling, testing and performance. At Ovum, Bola was the principal analyst leading the Application Lifecycle research service. Cathy has a broad mix of ‘real world’ and research experience at the intersection of telecommunications, smart cities and blockchain across a variety of countries and research domains. She is currently a Visiting Researcher at Imperial College and was a founding Co-Director of the ICL Centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering, which was Europe’s first centre dedicated to blockchain and cryptocurrency research. She also holds an Honorary Research position at University College London, where she is Chief Technology Officer of the GovTech Lab and DataNet, which focuses on the potential and application of blockchain, AI and advanced communications technologies as a foundational part of the world’s governments and economy. Cathy is an expert and fellow of the World Economic Forum’s Blockchain council and a member of the United Nations Secretary General’s High Level Panel on Digital Co-Operation. She holds a PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge, where she also received her master’s degree in Engineering for Sustainable Development. She is the author of six books on technology covering IoT, EPC and the economics of the emerging digital economy based around information supply chains.

Cornelia Wels-Maug

Cornelia has 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, researching the use of IT in selected industry verticals. Since 2008, she has specialised in the international healthcare market, Before then, her field of expertise included IT services, public sector, consumer electronics and telecommunication end devices.

Within healthcare, she has worked on topics like telehealth and remote patient monitoring, big data, analytics, gamification, connected care in the ambulatory and hospital domains and health insurers’ move towards digital therapies. Cornelia worked in different roles in her native Germany, but also, for more than a decade, in the UK, USA and Australia, where she experienced first-hand different healthcare systems.

As an analyst, Cornelia has worked for Ovum Ltd., Mentis Corp. (now Gartner Inc.) and BIS Strategic Decisions Ltd. In 2014, Cornelia set up her own business as a freelance Healthcare Analyst and Journalist and has been regularly contributing articles, interviews and life coverage from industry events to European trade journals like HIMSS Insights, 42, and European Hospital. She has also co-authored a chapter (“Legal limits and obstacles in the care for the terminally sick in the framework of the specialised ambulatory palliative care”) in a book.

Paul Herzlich

Paul Herzlich is one of a rare breed of industry analyst who actually has extensive hands-on practical experience working in the technologies he reports on. With 40 years experience in the IT industry, Paul has performed most roles in application development, including business analyst, programmer/analyst, development manager and test manager; he has been an author and consultant on tools, methods and processes; he has worked with numerous languages, operating systems, and technology platforms ranging from business tabulation machines, mainframes, minis and PCs, and followed the trajectory of application delivery from monolithic mainframe systems, to distributed client/server, through web-based applications, and on to mobile devices and the Cloud.
