Atego is a UK company, focused on model-based systems engineering and software tools for embedded, real- time and safety-critical software development. This is a market that is set to grow significantly over the next two decades and the supply chain becomes increasingly more complex and software driven. The current customer base is drawn significantly from three primary markets; Aerospace & Defense, Automotive and Rail. We expect them to maintain and grow their market share in each of these areas, with Automotive being the area where there will be significant opportunities.
In June 2014 Atego was acquired by PTC, a global provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) that span the complete product and service lifecycle.
